Activity Directions
- Each student gets 5 index cards
- On the cards students are to reflect on and record ideal behaviors for your generation.
- Write ONE IDEA per card.
- Put all cards in the center of the table and SHUFFLE.
- Turn the cards face up and read each card aloud.
- Sort cards by idea. Cards with similar ideas should be grouped together.
- When all cards have been sorted, write the top 5 norms from your group on a sheet of paper.
- Determine whether the group can support the norms before the group adopts them.
Some reasons to set norms: To ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to contribute in meetings To increase productivity and effectiveness; and To facilitate the achievement of its goals.
